The sprig of thread painted Cherry Blossom is a good project if you have a little experience with thread painting and are looking to further develop your skills.
The Pattern Download includes detailed instructions and full size embroidery pattern.
There are few things more beautiful than clouds of delicate blossoms on fruit trees in spring and the simple flower shapes, lend themselves perfectly for thread painting embroidery. The dainty pale pink cherry blossom and plump pink buds are embroidered in stranded cotton against a blue sky.
Cherry Blossom is stitched mostly in long & short stitch using stranded cotton in a palette of dainty pinks combined with shades of soft brown and a touches of green.
The small panel looks really pretty framed but would also make a lovely zipped pouch.
I hope you will get as much pleasure embroidering your Cherry Blossom as I did.
Happy Stitching, Anna
