Flowers for Ellaine is a great project if you are confident with basic embroidery stitches, have a little experience or are are new to crewel work.
The needle book and scissor case are decorated with flowers and foliage inspired by traditional crewel embroidery. The embroidery is worked in fine hand dyed, shaded crewel yarns onto linen fabric using mostly common embroidery stitches. The needle book has wool felt pages and 4 pockets to hold plenty of needles and pins. Both items are lined and back with complementary Liberty print fabrics.
The detailed instructions and diagrams will help guide you step by step through the project however, you might find it helpful to have a stitch directory at hand – I always do.
I hope you will get as much pleasure embroidering your Reflections as I did.
Happy Stitching, Anna

I originally created Flowers for Ellaine as a pincushion for The Design Collective, volume 1 by Inspirations Studios. In the
book, the pincushion has been renamed ‘Fragments’ because the motifs were arranged as if a fragment of a larger textile.
We will send you a note about once a month with News & Updates.
