Very, Very Berry is the perfect project if you have no prior experience with [technique] however knowledge of embroidery stitches is required.
The Very, Very Berry bird was largely inspired by a gorgeous piece of cherry print cotton I have had in my stash for years. I have find birds as decorative as flowers and always have fun stitching little circles which is perfect little cherries., so piecing this little design together was a real delight.
Very, Very Berry is stitched onto ivory linen with the embroidery design printed, ready for you to stitch. The design is created with embroiderers new to crewel work in mind and embroidered using a just a small selection of common embroidery stitches and basic crewel work techniques.
The size and rectangular shape of the design makes it perfect for a small pouch or purse.
