Apple Thief features a cheeky goat who has made her way up a hillock to sink her teeth into the ripe apples on a little tree. The panel.was designed as an introduction to crewel work. It is a great little project if you are familiar with the basic embroidery or are new to crewel work and would like to try a couple of more complex stitches, such as laid trellis couching, typical to crewel embroidery.
I made my Apple Thief panel into a practical work bag with comfortable shoulder straps and lots of inside pockets for all my little bits and pieces.
