Lazy, late summer afternoons with the quiet buzz of insects filling the air and dragonflies dancing over the water in the garden pond is what I was thinking of while stitching OVER THE POND. The embroidery is worked onto a pale sage green cotton using 13 shades of stranded silk. Padded satin stitch in shades of bright turquoise is used for the dragonflies' smooth, brightly coloured bodies and the glittering wings and cheerful buttercups are embroidered in silk shading (or long & short stitch).
I hope you will enjoy stitching your OVER THE POND as much as I did.
Happy Stitching, Anna
