PDF Pattern - PURPLE GRACE

$15.00
The embroidery design measures 11.5cm x 13cm wide (4 1/2” x 5 1/8”).

** NOVICE - This project is perfect if you are familiar with basic stitches and want to practice your skills or are new to crewel work. The detailed instructions and diagrams will help guide you step by step through the project

This PDF Pattern includes:
* Detailed step-by-step instructions
* Colour diagrams and close-up photographs
* Full size embroidery design

You will need:
* 12 crewel wools
* No. 3 crewel embroidery needle
* 20cm (8”) sturdy embroidery hoop

Traditional Jacobean crewel work is a feast of exotic flowers and fanciful foliage - which is what I really love. I had fun with the colour scheme for PURPLE GRACE, which was largely inspired by a large vintage crewel work design. The small panel is the perfect size for a cushion front, a small bag and will look beautiful simply framed.
The bold flower is embroidered using just 5 different stitches, mainly satin stitch and long & short stitch.
I hope you will get as much pleasure embroidering your PURPLE GRACE as I did.

Happy Stitching,
Anna
