Purple Grace is embroided with Appleton’s crewel wool onto ivory linen. The bold flower is embroidered using only five different stitches, mainly satin stitch and long & short stitch.

I had fun with the colour scheme for Purple Grace, which was largely inspired by a large vintage crewel work design. The bold flower is embroidered using just 5 different stitches, mainly satin stitch and long & short stitch.
