Traditional Jacobean crewel work is a feast of exotic flowers and fanciful foliage - which is what I really love.
MEADOW BLOOM was largely inspired by a beautiful piece of fabric given to me by a friend. The colour scheme, twirling stems and fantastical flowers, were perfect for creating a piece of crewel embroidery. The rich blooms and fancy leaves are created using 24 different embroidery stitches and stitch combinations. The detailed instructions and diagrams will help guide you step by step through the project however, you might find it helpful to have a stitch directory at hand – I always do.
